Casa Brava
A residence that fuses raw concrete architecture with warm, livable interiors. Priorities included balancing bold sculptural form with human comfort, ensuring seamless indoor-outdoor flow, and showcasing how minimalism can feel deeply inviting.
Project Narrative
Casa Brava is a bold statement of contemporary design, combining raw concrete architecture with warm interiors. Set on an elevated plot with privacy and views, the home was envisioned as a showcase of how minimalist design can still feel deeply livable.
Design Intent
The goal was to merge sculptural exterior geometry with human-centered interiors. Brutalist exteriors in exposed concrete contrast with natural wood, plaster, and marble finishes, creating a refined yet grounded atmosphere.
Build Challenges
1. Integrating expansive glazing into structural concrete walls without compromising thermal performance. 2. Ensuring natural warmth inside through materials to soften the rawness of concrete. 3. Delivering a seamless indoor–outdoor transition despite the sloped terrain.
